Lima, Peru – June 3, 2013 – MEDAVAN, a leading ambulatory surgery center in Peru, has achieved accreditation by AAAHC International, the global arm of the US-based Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Accreditation distinguishes MEDAVAN as providing the highest quality of care to its patients as determined by an independent and objective evaluation.
AAAHC International Standards are high. Not all health care organizations seek accreditation; not all that undergo the rigorous on-site survey process are granted accreditation.
“We’re proud to demonstrate to our patients and our community that we take providing high quality care very seriously, and that’s why we’ve taken this extra step to become accredited,” said Rodrigo Langberg, Adjunct General Manager.
This is the third Peruvian facility to receive AAAHC accreditation, but the first ambulatory surgery center receiving AAAHC accreditation in Latin America. (For more, download PDF below.)
