Site Supports International Accreditation Program in Costa Rica
(Skokie, Ill.) The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), has launched a Spanish-language web site to assist organizations seeking accreditation through AAAHC International, a subsidiary of AAAHC.
“AAAHC International has now accredited three ambulatory organizations in Costa Rica,” said John Burke, PhD, executive vice president and chief executive officer, AAAHC. “Our new Spanish-language site is designed to help organizations in Costa Rica and other Spanish speaking nations learn more about the standards required for accreditation. By voluntarily participating in the AAAHC International accreditation process, ambulatory organizations demonstrate their commitment to the safety and quality of the care they offer patients.”
The AAAHC Accreditation Handbook for Ambulatory Health Care also is available in Spanish for those seeking international accreditation.
Organizations that have been accredited through AAAHC International now include two cosmetic dental clinics, Nova Dental Center and Luis Kaver Clínica Dental, and the Hospital Clinica Metropolitana, a multi-specialty ambulatory health care clinic, all located in San Juan, Costa Rica.
The accreditation surveys are conducted by a team of U.S.-based AAAHC surveyors who are themselves active practitioners of ambulatory health care.
AAAHC launched its international accreditation program in Costa Rica last year and will add accreditation of ambulatory organizations in other countries in the future.
AAAHC International is a subsidiary of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
