Clínica Santa Isabel of Lima, Peru Achieves Prestigious International Accreditation
Lima, Peru – Jan. 3, 2013 – Clínica Santa Isabel, a leading women's and children's health care facility in Peru, has achieved accreditation by AAAHC International, the global arm of the US-based Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Accreditation distinguishes Clínica Santa Isabel as providing the highest quality of care to its patients as determined by an independent and objective external evaluation.
AAAHC International Standards are rigorous. Not all health care organizations seek accreditation; not all that undergo the rigorous on-site survey process are granted accreditation.

This is the second Peruvian facility to receive AAAHC accreditation. Oncocare S.R.L., part of the Pacifico Salud health care system, received accreditation in June.

Health care organizations seeking accreditation by AAAHC International undergo an extensive self-assessment and rigorous on-site survey by AAAHC International surveyors – physicians, nurses, and administrators who are actively involved in ambulatory health care. The survey is consultative and educational, presenting best practices to help an organization improve its care and services.
