Strategic Plan
Ambulatory health care continues to evolve at an unprecedented pace. As care delivery expands beyond traditional settings, organizations must navigate increasing complexity while maintaining an unwavering commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care.
For more than 45 years, AAAHC has partnered with ambulatory organizations to improve health care quality through accreditation. As the only accreditor designed exclusively for ambulatory care, we bring specialized expertise, practical insight, and a collaborative approach that helps organizations thrive in a changing healthcare environment. We uphold rigorous standards that advance quality, safety, and accountability so organizations can consistently deliver exceptional patient care.
Designed for ambulatory care, powered by expertise, and driven by readiness—1095 Strong, quality every day is more than our brand promise. It reflects our belief that quality isn’t a moment—it’s a commitment across all 1,095 days of the accreditation cycle and every day patients place their trust in those who care for them. Our experience tells us that meaningful improvement cannot begin with the accreditation process and end with a certificate on the wall. It requires a sustained commitment to continuous readiness, learning, and improvement.
Guided by our mission and vision, this Strategic Plan outlines the priorities that will strengthen our ability to support those we serve, advance the quality of ambulatory health care, and position AAAHC to help shape the future of outpatient care.
The 2026–2029 Strategic Plan is organized around four strategic themes that define the areas where AAAHC intends to make the greatest impact. The objectives within each theme articulate our priorities and serve as a roadmap for advancing our mission, vision, and commitment to quality every day.
