AAAHC launches new Standards

Released as v42, the Accreditation Handbook for Ambulatory Health Care (AMB) and the Accreditation Handbook for Medicare Deemed Status (MDS)
deliver new terminology and streamline Standards architecture across all programs. These enhancements allow organizations to perform targeted and continuous assessments of their practices throughout the 1,095 days of the accreditation term.

In support of our 1095 Strong, quality every day philosophy, AAAHC continues to offer a complimentary electronic copy (PDF) of the Standards handbook to all accredited organizations. On Dec 12, AAAHC sent emails to the primary contact for all accredited organizations in the AMB and MDS programs containing details about accessing and downloading complimentary digital copies of the v42 AMB and MDS handbooks. Additionally, AAAHC encourages organizations that want a printed handbook to preorder a copy through the AAAHC Store.

For both AMB and MDS accreditation programs, the v42 effective date is Mar 1, 2023. Refer to your Survey Confirmation letter to understand which
Standards version will be used for your survey. Please contact AAAHC at info@aaahc.org or 847.853.6060 to determine which program may best fit
your needs or clarification on the program in which you are currently enrolled.

To support understanding of these new editions, AAAHC has developed a complimentary educational webinar, Your Successful Transition to v42 Standards. The webinar will describe changes to policies and procedures and Standards. To register for the v42 webinar, click here.
